There’s an fascinating tourist destination near Dieng called Tambi Tea Plantation. The precise position is in the sub-district of Sapuran and belongs to the regency of Wonosobo.
You must reach the sub-district of Sapuran before you arrive at the tea plantation. The distance between the regency of Wonosobo and the subdistrict of Sapuran is about 16 km.

It is, as the names imply, the location to observe the local tea plantation and the activity of its farmers. The plantation lies between 800 and 2000 meters above sea level and is situated close to two famous mountains in Dieng called Sumbing and Sindoro.
So far as history is concerned, the plantation once belonged to the Dutch firm Bagelen Thee & Kina Maatschavappij. Today, however, Indonesia has taken over the plantation and turned it into one of the famous spots in Dieng.
The name of the tea plantation originates from the location of the Tambi Village. This implies that tourists can appreciate both the plantation and the village at the same time, including the local customs. The most visited plantation, however, is the one situated in Tlogo Village.
