Curug Gending Asmoro is a legendary waterfall situated in the East Ungaran sub-district of Semarang.
It’s a bit odd that the eastern portion of Ungaran has such a natural appeal. According to local residents, most of the waterfalls exist only in the western part of the region (near the Ungaran Mountains). Even though there is an industrial area near the waterfall, it continues to draw visitors over time.
For those traveling from Ahmad Yani International Airport, any local transport service will go immediately to Curug Gending Asmoro. The distance is 34.9 km, so the journey takes about 46 minutes.
Curug Gending Asmoro provides a relaxing environment even though it doesn’t provide a lot of tall trees. Still, many bamboo trees grow densely near the area.
Locals have constructed a bamboo bridge in front of the waterfall in which visitors can experience sightseeing and photography.
A tranquil pond can also be seen clearly from this location. The thing is, because of the size and the limited visibility, visitors are not permitted to get into the pond.
The location has a variety of fascinating items worth a photoshoot. Besides the waterfall itself, another famous element is the Bamboo Bridge in front of it. Typically, tourists use the bridge to take their selfies at the front of the waterfall.
Curug Gending Asmoro consists of more than one discharge of steam. The first has a height of 16 meters, while the second has a height of around 12 meters. Don’t worry, they ‘re both breathtaking and worth a photo op.
Located below the bridge, tourists can even see the popular river, Kresek. This features boulders and rocks, which are also a perfect backdrop for photography.
