Penataran temple is located in Penataran village, Nglegok, Blitar regency. This Hindu Temple has been erected since the presence of the Kingdom of Kediri.

These days, the local government has included it as one of its recommended tourist sites.

Visitors usually take pictures and learn the history of this temple. Besides, this temple is comfortable enough to relax during the weekends.

In fact, the site is a complex of temples. This means that tourists can find more than one temple there.

According to history, the construction of this temple began in the 12th century and ended in the 15th century.

According to historians, the main purpose of this temple complex is to accommodate Hindu worshippers. People also used the temple as a place of worship for Rsi Saiwa and Sugata.
