Red Island Beach is located in Pancer Hamlet, Sumberagung Village, Pesanggaran District, in the southern part of Banyuwangi Regency.

The name Red Island Beach comes from the existence of a small hill with a height of about 200 meters from the red soil which is located near the beach.

On this beach there is a temple that is often used by Hindus to perform mekiyis religious ceremonies. Red Island beach is a stretch of white sand that extends up to 3 km.

The sand on this beach has a white color and sometimes looks a bit pink or reddish.

To do snorkeling activities on this beach, visitors must rent snorkeling equipment at a price that is not too expensive.

Red Island Beach is a destination for surfers while in Banyuwangi Regency. This Red Island beach has even hosted international surfing competitions.
Although the waves are not as high as the island of Plengkung which can reach 6 meters, the average waves are 2-4 meters high at this beach can be a solution for tourists who are just trying or want to learn to surf because the waves are more friendly.

For those of you who don’t have your own surfboard, don’t worry because many local people open surf rental services.

To reach the hill, visitors have to wait for the sea to recede. The best time to visit the hills is in the afternoon, as the sea water begins to recede.

From the top of the hill, visitors can see the expanse of the blue sea more clearly and can see the beautiful sunset.

On the way to the hill, visitors can find various marine biota left behind by receding sea water.

Reported by ngetrip.my.id the entry ticket is Rp. 10,000. for a car parking ticket Rp. 10,000 while for a motorcycle parking ticket Rp. 5,000.
