Sermo Reservoir at Kulonprogo is an irrigation dam that dams the Ngrancah River. This dam was inaugurated by President Soeharto on November 20, 1996.

Sermo reservoir is located in the village of Hargowilis, Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta. It is not difficult to reach the Sermo reservoir because there is only one lane from Wates to the reservoir. The road to get there is wide and smooth.
The easiest route to Sermo Reservoir is via Wates Road. From downtown Jogja, take the direction to Jalan Wates. Just follow the path until you arrived at the horse statue. After arrived at the horse statue, take a right toward the square. Then continue west of the square towards the Sermo reservoir. The distance between Yogyakarta and Sermo Reservoir is about 35 km and takes about 45 minutes.
