Talaga Bodas is a white crater lake located in Garut. This place is on Jl. Talaga Bodas No. 5, Sukamenak, Wanaraja, Garut Regency, West Java. Precisely on the slopes of Mount Galunggung with an altitude of 1,512 meters above sea level. This area is about 23.85 hectares and surrounded by forest. Strategic location makes Talaga Bodas has cool air and very beautiful scenery.
This place is so interesting because the crater is white. Based on its name, Kawah Talaga Bodas comes from the Sundanese language which means “White Crater Lake”. The crater is white because the lake water contains sulfur.

Hiking
Place on a slope makes the journey extra struggle. The winding road and steep incline are challenges that must be passed by visitors. Each vehicle will park in the parking area, then visitors have to walk about 1 km to get to the crater area. You can also rent a motorbike to get there. This is what visitors often use as a hiking activity. During the trip you will see the natural beauty from a height that can pay for your tiredness.
Taking a photo
Areas filled with trees and white craters add a special touch to your photos. You must capture the moment while in this place. There are many places that you can use as photo spots. Even some people are desperate to come here to get fantastic photos, for example photos for the year book and pre-wedding.
Hot Pool
There are facilities in the form of a swimming pool. Not an ordinary swimming pool because this is a hot spring pool. You can relax your body here. In total there are 3 pools, 2 pools for children and 1 pool for adults. Free bath fee.
Operational Hours
This place is open at 07.00 – 17.00 WIB every day. The entrance ticket is IDR 7,000/weekdays and IDR 10,000/weekend. Before heading here you should bring your own lunch because there are still a few shops here. Come in the morning to get a good view and to avoid the heavy fog in the afternoon.
